　　「細胞生物學」(Cell Biology)的內容涵蓋三大部分。第一部分是細胞生物學探討所運用的技術。第二部分是關於細胞生物學的核心，主要介紹真核細胞的共同特性，也就是細胞的內部結構。第三部分是關於多細胞生物的細胞行為：包括細胞之間的連結(junctions)、細胞外間質(extracellular matrix)，細胞分化、發育，以及多細胞結構的病變，如癌症等。
